It's been raining a lot these days in Singapore. I don't think it rained this much last Jan, but oh well. It's not bad at all actually.
The rain cools down the city, giving it an autumn-kinda vibe.
What do you all like to do on a rainy day? I love to drink something warm - warm sake, hot tea, or coffee.
So today I decided to stop by the Far East Plaza's The Community Coffee, one of my favorite coffee house in Singapore.
From a distance, this place looks like a bar with a red neon sign saying "The Community". But if you walk closer, the coffee aroma this small place is offering will make you feel like home.
Its coffee menu ranges from 4-6 dollars. I usually indulge a cup of black coffee, but today wanted something special, so ordered mocha - a good combination of strong unsweetened cocoa powder and acidic coffee tastes.
*How to make Mocha coffee* - by Alberto Mondi @ www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wH5ivmANs4
1. Put unsweetened cocoa powder in the cup
2. Put espresso shot on top of the cocoa powder
3. Put steamed milk on top of the espresso shot
4. Sprinkle cocoa powder of top of the steamed milk
If you have a chance to walk around Orchard road and feel like quickly grabbing a cup of coffee, check this place out!
