CE LA VI | Marina Bay Sands Rooftop Bar / Restaurant

What are the first things that come to your mind if you think of Singapore? Before I moved to Singapore, I only new two things - Marina Bay Sands and Sentosa

 

Today I'll be reviewing CE LA VI, a rooftop bar / restaurant located on top of the Marina Bay Sands.

 

Wait, CE LA VI sounds familiar. Did they name this restaurant after the non-french's french phrase 'C'est la vie' which means 'That's life'?

CE LA VI is located on top of the Marina Bay Sands, so you can see the beautiful city and the bay area from here.

 

I heard from my friend who did his MBA in Singapore that CE LA VI used to be MBA people's networking place. When I visited here a month ago, it was quite pleasant as the seats are limited due to the safe distancing.

This area with the red patio umbrella is the bar area and the restaurant area is located inner side. You can also order the restaurant menu from the bar area, so I got myself a seat in the bar area as it has a better view.

 

If you enter from the entrance, the lefthand side is the city view while the righthand side is the ocean view, so ask for a seat with a view that you would love the most!

 

The beautiful nightscape is just one thing about CE LA VI. More importantly, CE LA VI's got an amazing food.

I ordered a bunch of dishes that had good reviews:

Starter: Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche, Burrata di Bufala, Binchotan Grilled Iberico Pork Satay, Avocado Sushi Roll, Grilled Eggplant

Main dish: Grilled Cauliflower Steak, Binchotan Grilled Maimoa Lamb Chops

Dessert: Triple Chocolate Sin

All the dishes were tasty, but what I liked the most were Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche, Avocado Sushi Roll and Grilled Cauliflower Steak. Wah, I'm not even the biggest fan of scallop but I still remember the taste of Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche after a month has passed.

 

If you are going to the CE LA VI bar to quickly get a drink, just order the Scallop and that will do perfectly!
